"If Not For Her" Was written for the 2022 release "Life Blood & Tears". The album was written and recorded on a one week break between U.S Tours. The video is a collection of images take on tour between Calgary and St. George Utah.
"Albatross" was released on 2021's "Dead Lovers" Album. The first of many albums to be recorded during the course of the pandemic. The song was inspired by the turmoil in society at the time and was written from the perspective of some one sitting in conversation with To Kill a Mockingbird's Atticus Finch.
The Black Rose Acoustic Society in Colorado Springs, Colorado was gracious enough to film, record and supply us with a full video of John's set while on tour in Colorado.
"Where in This World (Has Gone My Baby?)" was filmed in Edmonton and included a cast of over 15 local musicians and actors. The story line was inspired by such films as Goodfellas and Casino.
This song was the only song written directly related to the Covid Pandemic. The video was filmed in beautiful Drumheller, Alberta which is a favourite destination for John & Ivy.
